Help with ring sizes!

I am looking at an Affinity ring on clearance, and I have a question about ring sizes. I purchased it when it was a TSV several months ago, and I loved it. I ordered a size 8, but it was too big. I never exchanged it because I thought the 7 would be too tight. It has a small band on it. Is there much difference in a size 7 and 8 with that small of a band?
