Help with charm bracelet

I got mine today and love it. I got the average and it drapes about 7/8 of an inch with 6 charms on it. I wear it behind my watch because it will fall off if I wear it alone. Should I keep the average or trade in for a small? also will more charms make it drape more? I need help from the experts.
