I've watched several times on my computer with the show playing in the background as I work.  Magnificent stuff, but really too glitzy for me.  I like to buy pieces that I will actually wear.  For me that means pieces that are suitable for daywear, businesswear and casual.  I have a few pieces for fancy nights out and that is enough.  Don't do that much night time carousing anymore.  I love their stuff and would feel comfortable buying from them if I found the right piece at the right price.

I agree about the wearability factor.  I watched alot over the weekend - they had some really good deals and I almost caved a couple times, but they were only on pieces that I could wear to work.  I only buy jewelry that I can wear daily.  Nothing too flashy - just classy and understated.  I rarely have fancy nights out these days.

I have bought a fair amount of jewelry from them, but they did not renew their lease with our cable provider so I can only watch it on the computer now.  So I don't watch!

Remeber that their prices are NOT set in stone, you can call up and haggle over a price.  I NEVER paid what was on the screen (I didn't get everything I haggled over, but I did get Kurt to almost cuss on the air once...  but I got my way!!!)  Also their auctions are "real" auctions.  I way "real" because at least once when I was bidding I felt almost like there might be some fake bids being placed, but when refused to go higher I actually got the piece for my bid, they said the other higher bidder hung up before the deal was finalized.  So I don't know if there WAS another bidder or not, but I got the piece for the amount I was willing to pay so I am satisfied.

Their jewelry is gorgeous for the most part.  I REALLY miss watching the estate jewelry and gemstone shows.

And, BTW, the company was recently sold and went from being a privately owned company to part of a larger one.  There have been a good many schedule and host changes.  I personally don't like the "new" GSN as well as the old one.
