I wasn't expecting the prices to be "sale" prices and ignoring the lack of easy pays it didn't seem to matter if you were looking at gold, silver or clad. What really got me was how thin the ring bands were on the gold items for the price! If you wear your jewelry that sliver of gold is not going to center that ring on your finger and last for years. It is so expensive to have a band filled in on the back. So disappointing.

I also noticed the back of a couple silver rings with verrrry thin bands on the back ... they just didn't look sturdy! {#emotions_dlg.thumbdown}

Well, if that is the case for the money they are charging.... I will be sending it back.

I turned it on and saw some black spiniel (?) pave piece and immediately changed the channel. I used to buy almost all my fine jewelry exclusively from the Q. Now, I couldn't tell you when I last bought a piece..... Prices, quality and selection have all factored into my declining interest in the Q's jewelry.

Seriously, black spinel and turquoise. It seems to me there were multiple shows of each yesterday and yet so many gemstones went essentially unrepresented. I like turquoise, less so black spinel, but the Q's steady diet of certain things is very limiting... If they indicate jewelry isn't selling, maybe they need to look at the overall mix of what they're offering.

I wasn't expecting across the board sale pricing either, though the occasional sale from QVC, while unexpected, would hardly be beyond the pale for them to offer... I did anticipate that if, as they keep claiming, jewelry isn't selling, they would facilitate sales with more EP...

I absolutely agree though on the thin bands. I look often at their jewelry selection and am frequently struck by how very narrow many of the ring bands appear to be. I haven't bought a great deal from them lately, but have a number of gold pieces bought in the last several years and many of the bands are extremely thin and hence, some of them are quite uncomfortable. Of course, you also have to wonder how well they'll hold up to wear over time.

Gem Day Pricing and 5 or 6 Easy Pay offerings would have had me buying. Lack of easy pay had me watching only. I did like a few things in gold enough to buy if they were on EP. ShopHQ has spoiled me.

Now I'm second guessing my advance purchase of those turquoise earrings! They are beautiful, but I also thought were overpriced. At least I didn't have to watch Judith Ripka with all of her severly overpriced silver and diamonique. I can't believe people pay those prices for that jewelry. Yes, some of it is nice, but not at that price.

If you thought they were overpriced but bought them anyway, then you must have really liked them and might regret canceling when you see them again on-air.

That's true. I can always return....These jewelry shows are my addiction! That was actually the only thing I ordered yesterday. Would have loved to see the ruby show, but I work full time and couldn't watch it. Bummer.

A thousand people ordered those OTO turquoise earrings. They seem kind of pricey to me, but what do I know.

I did a double take when I saw the price on those earrings. I bought 18k gold earrings on ShopHQ for $117.68 a couple of weeks ago

Yes, it was a shame that we working folks weren't apparently considered when they scheduled this day, but then we so rarely are... Even more of a shame when one considers the typical weekend programming is typically so repetitive and boring. As for the earrings, I'd definitely see what you think when they're delivered. Even if they were more costly than you think they might have been, if you really love them and will get a lot of wear from them, they might prove to be worth it! Also, as was pointed out, if you cancel now, you'll always wonder what might have been!
