From the Ripka fire to the Bixby...

...frying pan??

I cut my JR purchases WAY back about 6 months due to quality issues. In the last couple of months, I've been buying more and more Bixby. I had the bluebird earrings waitlisted for quite a while and finally got them a few weeks ago. Tonight I was wearing them at an Easter gathering when I felt something drop down the front of me and hit the couch cushion. Lo and behold...there was a limon quartz briolette! It had just dropped off the earring. This was the third time I wore them!

I have pieces of JR and Bixby that I have had well over 6 months and haven't yet worn 3 times because...well, because...I'm like the rest of you all and I have a lot to choose from. It's a total fluke that I've worn these earrings 3 times in 3 weeks. (I must be in a birdies in springtime kind of mood.) I'm sending these earrings back tomorrow but what happens when my older pieces start falling apart when I get around to wearing them for the 3rd time??? Ugh! I'm frustrated.
