Found tarnished silver in silver safekeeper.

I have 2 silver safekeepers, both less than 7 years old. Lately I have been finding tarnished pieces in it periodically and don't understand. They are both shutting properly so that's not the problem. Aren't they guaranteed to keep your silver shiny for up to 25 years? Anyone else have this problem? I'm beginning to wonder about Lori Greiner's boxes.
