@Still Raining :  I love looking at NA jewelry on eBay and etsy.  If you see something you like, that's the exact piece you'll get.  I won't admit how much NA jewelry I have but several of my favorites came from those two places.

My older sister lived north of Santa Fe for over 40 years.  Oh the damage we did 😂.

I discovered I need to see the stones.

I did find a cute basket for $8,000.  As if!

Re: Eye Test for Turquoise Lovers

Ten or more years ago, I bought some real bargains in NA turquoise jewelry on eBay, and I got a couple of duds too.  Nowadays, you rarely see bargains, everything is overpriced and there's much junk.  Lots of dyed howlite and manufactured stones.

I'd prefer to buy from a reputable dealer where I can be sure of what I'm getting.  Many of the larger dealers have silversmiths and can custom make a piece for you.

Isn't there green turquoise?   I don't own or buy turquoise because I don't like cabochon jewelry.  But I read a novel set in Arizona and it did mention a valuable turquoise that was green.

@songbird   Turquoise comes in many shades of blue AND green.

The turquoise that was mentioned was by a designer that started with letter M.  Famous and the turquoise was rare with "zap" feature when you look at it (it was a bracelet) This was years ago & a library book, but I still remember it.  The character kept in in a safe.
