Several years ago I bought an Eterna Gold high polished bangle. I have honestly worn it only a few times over the years and have truly babied it, never wearing it to work and only on a few special occasions.

On a whim I wore it today. Got home from work, looked down and there's a dent on it! Smiley Sad Smiley Sad I'm sure it happened today and I'm so disappointed. I was going for that layered bangle look which is always what Ted L brags you can do with Eterna and not have to worry about anything getting dented. I don't even remember doing anything rough. A few times I lightly bumped it when I was using my laptop. The other 2 bangles (not EG) which I've worn heavily over the years were unscathed today as always.

I know I can return it for replacement however I once returned a pair of Eterna hoops because the small wire part that went through my ear fell off 1 earring. The new pair they sent to replace these was much lighter than the weight of the ones I'd sent for repair so I basically lost money on that deal.

My life won't end because of this....just disappointed that I fell for the hype and believed EG's promise that a bangle from them would not dent. Wish I could just get my money back now.

Re: Eterna Gold disappointment

Sorry, that happened. Honestly. I had that same problem with an Eterna Gold ring. It was the ring that is intertwineing, (one ring, in two pieces, but you cannot separate them.) I did not send it back for repairs. Yes, I was very disappointed in Eterna Gold, especially when Ted makes a big deal about, how strong his gold is, and bangs away on the table, to demonstrate, just that. I just say to myself, there goes another deception. I have always been careful with my jewelry, but like you. when I returned home, from being out and about, it was dented.

Re: Eterna Gold disappointment

I got an EG bracelet the other day for $486. The bracelet itself is beautiful. I'm afraid the clasp is a joke, though. I bought the TSV for $399 on the last Gold Rush. It has a huge, I am assuming strong, spring ring clasp. I'm afraid to wear the EG one out of the house.

Re: Eterna Gold disappointment

I've purchased a number of EG pieces over the years and have, generally, been very pleased. I'm wondering if maybe the quality is slightly less than it used to be, though.

I don't do bangles because I have small wrists and they are always too big and clunky for me. But I have heard a lot of complaints, over the years, about problems with bangles. I think just the nature of a bangle is that it gets knocked around. They go too far with saying how you cannot hurt them, IMO.

Anyway, my most recent purchase (a pair of earrings) was something I've really enjoyed but one day the wire just fell right off one of the earrings. I was really bummed because I like these so much. So, I got the EG phone number and called to see about how I could get it fixed.

Well, you cannot just talk to somebody. You have to leave a message. I waited for days for a call-back and finally gave up on that. QVC took care of me before I ever heard back from EG so, finally, when they called me back (not a very pleasant woman, I might add) I just had to say 'never mind - QVC already took care of things for me'. That was a bit of a disappointment. It was the first time I ever had a need to contact them.

Re: Eterna Gold disappointment

I purchased the EG tri-color rolling band ring. After just a few days of wear, the ring was not only dented but completely flat in areas. The ring was not solid, as I assume a ring would be, but three thin hollow tubes. I returned the ring to QVC and got my refund.
