Eclipse earrings - pierced or clip?

Hi All! I received the black eclipse earrings and I think they are gorgeous, but definitely sit too low on my earlobe. I don't see anyone else reporting this on the forum, so wondering if it is just me. I have had this issue with several of her earrings that I have sent back (gold diggers were one). I always thought it was a design flaw having the post so high on the earring, and I have never noticed this issue with other earrings I own.

Anyway.......asking the Ripka sisters - did you purchase these in clip or pierced? Did you choose clip because the pierced sits too low on the ear? Does anyone else have this issue?
