Re: Do You Tell When You Re-gift?

My grandmother used to do that with me -- give me pieces of jewelry from her own collection as a gift at Christmas or birthday. She always told me the story of where they came from, and those have always been some of my favorite pieces of jewelry. I am now doing that with my nieces, passing along some of these same pieces of special jewelry. I think this is a whole other category of gift giving.

Great idea!! The jewelry piece will have more meaning if there is a story behind it.{#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}

I have never re-gifted anything. I sell it on ebay. LOL!

Re: Do You Tell When You Re-gift?

I never have but I don't see a problem with it. As long as you have not used the item. And as another person said if you know the person will love the gift that is something they would use.

Why keep something if you will never use it?

To give something of your own that you enjoy and still feel is an important piece of jewelery is so special and so appropriate. An aunt gifting to her niece---even more poignant.
