I would love to read from anyone who has purchased a 14K Yellow Clad Diamonique Ring in the last 3 years or so about how the gold plating holds up. Can the ring be used all the time?

I learned my lesson long ago with all 14K yellow clad on QVC. Absolute junk. The color doesn't look like true gold even right out of the box. Save your money.

@NYCLatinaMe. While you're dreaming about rings, take a look at Moissanite. They are a lot more sparkly and less glassy looking than Diamonique. Do a little reading about them. They've been covered by a patent for years and were expensive. However the patent expired and now multiple companies are making them. Prices crashed.
Disregard QVC's selection which is completely out of line with prices elsewhere. In NYCyou ought to be able to find a place 2here you can see them in person. You'll be amazed.
Here's a Moissanite ring I've had about 10 years.

Thanks @Kachina624. That is a pretty ring you have! I read your other thread. I am just looking for an inexpensive ring to goof around with. The ring I saw is only $34.25, so it fits the bill. I think the silver will take the everyday wear better than the 14k clad, so, not reading anything different, I will buy that. Not sure the free S&H continues tomorrow.

White metal reflects and enhances clear stones the best. Even stones set in yellow gold usually have white gold prongs.

I had that solitaire ring you showed. I had the oval in 1 CT. It looked a bit glassy but I wore it for a few months. I had the silver. The stone got knocked out when I was reaching into the washing machine.
Enjoy your ring but think of it as costume jewelry.

What a beautiful ring!

@NYCLatinaMe -- IMO I think ALL of the 14K clad color looks "off" and reminds me of a totally fake ring, which takes away from the look of the Diamonique. It never looks like the real 14K that they are trying to imitate. I don't know about the long wear, but for something to wear day to day, stick with the silver. Lasts forever.

agree, I bought a pair of Charles & Colvard Moissinate earring in gold on sale some time ago that were a much better price than the lab diamond prices QVC has.
