Watching the Affinity show this a.m., I was wondering why the colored diamonds (blue and green) are set in black rhodium. I love blue diamonds and I want to see the blue! To my eye, when they are set in black rhodium, it just diminishes the color, making them look muddy and dark (especially those two pairs of inside/outside hoops in blue and green).
It seems to me that if they're set in SS, the blue color will really pop. A couple of years ago, I ordered a Ross-Simon blue diamond ring set in black rhodium, and returned it immediately for that reason -- the blue diamonds looked dark, almost black!
Do any of you feel the same way??
