The first box I opened contained the OTO ring. The hematite doublet with blue on top in silver is what got me started on Ripka for the most part a couple years ago. I had seen the gold clad but passed because I don't really wear gold clad. But then the OTO price and the hematite doublet had me at least ordering see it in person. Yup. Love it. There's just something about the color of the doublet that captivates me. It's such a luxurious shade of blue that I can't stop looking at it when I wear it. Velvet sapphire pillows with a glint. The ring is extremely comfortable. I prefer the thinner band under the finger than the typical thicker band we get with silver. It fits like a dream and looks even better. I will need coordinating pieces.

The second box I opened was the "while supplies last" bracelet in amethyst. First impression is...I don't think I like it. Why? I am not sure. I love amethyst. The stones are beautiful. The bracelet is made very well. It is quite a heavy bracelet and the dangle on it is so heavy I am wondering what is inside it because it certainly can not possibly be solid silver for the price. I am undecided if I will keep it. For now it is tucked back away in the box and in a few days I'll pull it out again. I've been known to not like something and a week later when I look at it again I do like it. So no final decision made on this one yet. It's a very pretty bracelet and the clasp seems secure. It fits and the amethysts are deep and vibrant. So why am I not excited about it? I don't know. It may be the weight of the drop that is not to my liking. Not sure.
