DO YOU LIKE SIDEWAYS CROSSES?

Suddenly I see this sideways cross in jewelry everywhere on QVC and in catalogs and stores. Just wondering who started it. It bothers me a little from a religious standpoint, but the hosts always point out that the cross is a 'fashion' statement as well. Just curious what my online buddies think about this, which seems like a fad to me. Any thoughts?
