I was absolutely FLOORED and GOBSMACKED by the Bixby prices alone. Gold has gone down by 1/3, silver has stayed around $20 for ages, but I'd say a lot of her prices are more than gold and diamonds at my local jeweler. The camel pendant was $604, and that was obscene.

There are NO reason for these items to cost this much.

Your paying for the name. For some of those prices and other designer prices you could get a 14K ring or nice size earrings.

Wonder if after the silver cuff is weighed if you can get near the $1199 + you spent.

It's a very substantial work of art. I don't own it, but have a friend who does. I admit, I'm tempted.

As I have stated for many years, when it comes to Silver Day it's all about the designers wanting us to pay top dollar to support their name and 5th AVE or Rodeo Dr store fronts!

JR, Hagit, B Bix ,MD the whole lot of them have overblown egos that reflect in the prices of their jewelry!

I mean Co'mon Judith Ripka, I just bought a Imperial 14kt gold pendant on Klondike day for less than $90 and you want over $100 to get a small charm that is made with DMQ stones, it's just plain ridiculous.

If this is the direction that QVC is headed in with SS shows, you can be sure I will not be watching at all.

I stopped buying the (what I call) small time, over priced jewelry all year and save my funds for Gem or Gold day and buy the one or two items that are GOLD and last a lifetime.

After I saw a thread here about the Jewelry Television channel I've been watching them ( they only sell jewelry & give plenty of background info about the materials etc ) & I see why people are saying we pay a LOT for the names on these designer pieces. I'm going to pay closer attention to what I get for my $$$.

It's not really the kind of thing you'd sell for scrap (at least, I hope not!).

Go to jtv.com, "TV Airing Now," and the drop-down menu has a channel finder.
