Anyone heard of these?
I’ve been doing some Christmas shopping and on my list is a 16 year old girl. She asked for jewelry.
I happened upon these bracelets at a Hallmark store. They’re just your basic beads on a stretchy cord bracelet that you see everywhere, but they’re so pretty. And, the company donates 25% of each purchase to several different charities. There is a little hang tag on each bracelet telling you the charity for that particular bracelet.
I’ve bought several for the girl I’m shopping for. And, I bought several for me! I love stacking bracelets and these are so colorful. They’ll look great with anything. I’m almost 62 so I think any age can wear them.
I’ve found them at three different Hallmark stores so far and have also ordered from the company’s website.

No haven't heard of that. I give money to several various organizations but they are usually one's friends from high school or like St Jude (taken out every month) are involved in.
I have two friends who post on Face book who accept horses who are almost dead from being mistreated. They show the before and we all follow their progress (it's wonderful). I donate money to each of them.
I have another friend who's very involved in animal shelters. I know the checks I send to her are put to good use.
And on and on. Like I said, I enjoy donating but want to know the money isn't going to some CEO or another person's pockets. I also especially like to donate locally.
On the one's I mentioned I mail them a check and leave to TO: blank. They fill in the charity and it's a win win.
If a friend has lost a beloved animal, I will send a check with the TO: blank and they fill in (in the memory of their beloved pet) the TO: (animal shelter).
Everyone has to donate to the place they feel best about. This is just something I like to do. I don't like it when people say, "Annabelle, you are so generous". Really? Really? GOD has been good to me, I appreciate it. But when you donate to something to help others it makes the donor feel good. That's how I feel. It's almost selfish to donate money and it seems almost like a copout for me because if I physically could, I'd donate more time. Anyone can write a check but the real heroes are those who donate their time and energy to help others.
Phew! What the heck got into me today? Ha! I think I need some sugar...gotta go do my favorite thing...eat a cookie and a little milk.
Love you guys @gidgetgh you are but one of the amazing women on this forum....take care.

Yes I have and have purchased several that donates to providing housing for the families of injured military while they are being treated. They are usually a beige or gold color. Each charity has it's own color. They generally are right around $10.00 and have a bead or a small charm.

When I first saw them and bought a few, I bought them because I thought they were cute bracelets. THEN I found out about the connection to the charities. And that was an unexpected bonus.
