Ceramic watch question...

Ladies,

Can anyone tell me about the sturdiness of ceramic watch bands? I picked up a pretty little watch at the Orlando outlet mall last week (it was a great buy), but I have heard that if you drop them, they can shatter. Is that true? Now, I have to admit that I have never come close to dropping a watch in my life, but there's always the first time I suppose!
