I have been looking at a Coach wristwatch, but for some reason hesitating. Does anyone here own one of their watches? Have you been pleased with it? Any other comments would be greatly appreciated.

I have one from when they first came out with watches and it was fine and kept time. Haven't seen it in a long time! LOL!!!

@Carolm I have several and have never had any problems with any of them. FYI, when I was buying them, I always wanted a few extra links (they are expensive), but if you have the paperwork and the receipt, you can go on line and request (if I remember correctly) 2 free links and they will send them to you for free.
I always wanted to have them a little larger (or the ability to make them larger), so I could wear them more like a loose bracelet.
If you are interested in Coach items, they have a on-line outlet store, that is always having sales and I've gotten some great deals. Some items are made for the outlets, but others are the same as in retail stores, for a lot less. You have to go on-line and create an account and they will email you when they have sales and then you have to log in with your email and password you created. It's invite only on the site and its a genuine COACH site.
Shoes, some clothes, scarves, jewelry, handbags, wallets, and lots of great COACH items. I purchased some signature luggage on it a long time ago (when I thought I had money!!).

I have never had a watch. But about 1 year ago, I bought a purse at retail. AFter a few months, some color rubbed off. I sent it in for repair or replacement as it was under warranty. They sent it back, saying it could not be fixed. I sent letters and emails which were not answered.
Now the handles are coming apart. It is still under warranty, so is on its way to NJ. I hope they repair it.
So, I have not been pleased with the quality of the purse or the company's customer service.

I have a Coach watch from many years ago and haven't had any issues with the watch. However, as I have learned more about watches I realize it's not just the brand name but the specifications of the specific watch.
Most watch manufactures have a range of watches that are quite different from each other from a quality standpoint. So you really need to look at the specs.... origin of movement, material used for case and bracelet, thickness of an goldtone coating, water resistance level, what is the crystal over the dial made of, etc.
It's also likely that Coach watches are made by another company that makes several different lines of watches.
Coach may design their watches, but not manufacture them.
Another thing to think about.... if the watch is expensive or a watch you plan to wear everyday, then details are very important, not just the looks. But if it's a watch you are adding to a larger watch collection and plan to wear it only sometimes, then the style and fashion may be more important to you.

Coach watches are manufactured by Movado. A long time ago, they were Swiss Made and they weren't exactly cheap.
About six years ago, ( I think), they liquidated their inventory of Swiss pieces and transitioned into cheaper, fashion pieces. They will always have a few classics in there, but since this transition, these watches have eiither Swiss Parts or Japanese movements. They're more youth-oriented (I did spot a cute Snoopy piece in Macys). I don't regard them as investment pieces and if you can get them at a sale price, that's the best.
Tapestry (Coach) has gone throught changes as a company/brand and it's really not like it used to be. Buy it if you love it.

@Carolm I own one Coach watch. I purchased it maybe 8 years ago and never had a problem with it. I also believe that Movado made the Coach watches. Many times watches are make by a watch company and the designer puts their name on it and charges more money. As example, Fossil make the watches for Michael Kors. You can read lots of information if you google it.
