CALLING ALL SMALLS......HELP WITH NEW WATCH!

I just realized something (post it on the watch thread, too). When I measured the top of my wrist, I could see that the case on the new watch covered the width of my wrist. I know that it says that the watch is adjustable from small to large, but I think that we might have a "too much extra strap" issue. Does that make any sense? Your opinion is much appreciated.
