I'm glad you're loving it. I got in in the all gold and I love mine. I don't think the color is brassy but matches my old 18Kt gold pieces. I also thought it wasn't very weighty but it's still sturdy enough. I just retired May 1st and I'm getting the matching necklace as soon as my money comes in. I had over 300 hrs. of unused vacation.

Congratulations! Glad to know it isn't brassy compared to your 18K. Enjoy your new necklace too, when you get it!

I did a little early, first I was leaving in September then I changed it to August, then my brother got sick, we were told it was terminal, so I bought out the last few months so I could spend it with him and help my SIL and sisters with his care. He started on Hospice and God granted us a miracle, he is healing and doing great, he had gone down to 104 lbs. but has gained about 12 lbs. and continues to surprise the Dr.'s and everyone else. All the Praise and Glory to our God.

I'm loving retirement. My sisters and I go to the movies every Tuesday and we also get together for either lunch or breakfast once a week. We are blessed to all live within 5 miles of each other.

May God continue to bless your brother and your family, qvcfreak. I'm still a little jealous. I'd love to retire--I'll be 65 in July--but my husband and I have a small business together and he wants to keep working, so I guess I have to as well. Maybe in a couple of years . . .

Thank You!!

At least you work for yourself and can pretty much set when you go in and if you have to leave early for whatever reason you can.

I started planning for my retirement 3 yrs. ago. I saved my vacation time and am paying off any outstanding bills I have with that money and a little something for me (the matching necklace), and that will be June 5th. I have my Retirement from the state plus a 457K and a 401K.
