Bixby earring findings

Question for the Bixby experts: do you find her findings thick? I would like to order the new maltese cross earrings, but am worried the finding will not fit my piercings. I have trouble with anything that is larger than a normal size finding, especially with shepherd's hooks, and seem to remember reading a couple of comments on this in reviews. What has your experience been? TIA!
