I love silver and its the only metal aside from white gold I buy. Well I was going thru my jewelry and had pieces that I know I would no longer wear so I decided to sell it. One of them was even a JR necklace. Watching them being weighed and the total price opened my eyes to the markup of silver. Silver is down now. The 19.00 stick earrings/cuff would probably be worth 5.00 if that. I could go to Nordstrom rack and for 15.00 get a amythest ring in a white metal and no one would no difference but me.

I watched very little, but checking the selection on-line found it underwhelming and didn't feel as if I missed a thing. Such a shame, I remember when a QVC jewelry event really was an event. They so rarely are anymore.

Although I did order 2 items in the black plated silver (have a Nolan Miller necklace that I'm trying to match), I have to agree with everything said here. I did have BBSD on quite a bit for background noise as I was busy in the kitchen, but every time I popped over to see what was showing, those colored diamond pieces were on.....again. They really didn't wow me. As others have stated, just not the same as years ago, and I'm afraid that it never will be. I am glad that I purchased most of my silver and gold pieces years ago, because a $45-$50 pair of silver earrings in today's market, probably cost $20-$25 years ago. A sad reality of the economy now.

Wake up QVC! I read the comments about the "special" silver sale day and they are not good! Your pieces are ordinary and the shows too repetitive. Yes, there are a few pieces priced well and stylish but overall it was a bomb! Most of the rings remain available in every size and every color. And who in their right mind wants to wait three months for an order of something you can see in every B&M store on every city block? I saw one Affinity ring with chains and 1/2 c. and priced at $375.00! Really? We are all going to buy that? The buyers should all be FIRED! I have been so disappointed in QVC jewelry shows that I no longer watch...and I am positive I am not alone. Vicenza day was all bronzo baby...also not interested. Gems from the "vault" outrageously priced. Sorry, I am back to glass cases at the B&M stores where you can find so much more.

I couldn't agree with you more.

I so agree that the silver day was a bomb, I haven't looked at the schedule but I am wondering if the silver day "encore" was always planned or is it because they didn't sell what they thought they would. I am a jewelry freak and buy a lot but have not the last 6 mths or so. Designs are boring. I love the RLM of previous years and would pay more for his pieces but they browbeat him into skimpier designs to get a price point. Bad idea. So they have lost my purchases there. I do like Hagit Gorali. Judith Ripka will never be in my collection. The bronzo craze is making me laugh. Bronze is rather inexpensive, so why such high price points on those pieces? I think QVC sales may be down and they are trying things, like reducing shipping to $3, to try to get numbers back up. They need to have fewer jewelry items but ones they do have need to be a higher quality and better design. They need to do something as my purchases are down by over 50% and I am just one person. Sounds like there are a lot like me out there.

Some silver items that were on sale on the Bonanza day are already listed as Clearance I've never seen items go to clearance that fast.

I bought one of the 30 inch adjustable necklaces because I wanted a longer chain necklace for a pendant but that was it.

Looking at the preview and the small amount of the programming that I saw, there was nothing even remotely as much fun as the necklace I bought some years ago which is a combination of gemstones and silver. It is one of my favorite necklaces. Most of what QVC offers these days in silver is incredibly boring.

the ear climber earring looks dated to me; I didn't watch at all and looked online at what was presented....didn't see a single thing I would buy.

I thought the same thing. And the only thing I found interesting was Or Paz. He has beautiful jewelry, that's for sure.
