I used to like and buy from JTV, especially the Bella Luce collection. That is, until I reached into my jewelry box to pull out a Bella Luce cross that I bought one year ago. I wore it one time, and stored it in a nice jewelry safe box. I never used any cleanser on it. Now, the rhodium has tarnished off, and the chain has turned color; tarnished. I spoke with Customer Service twice, and the only thing I was told is I would have to return it at my expense, and if they can't fix it, which they really can't, they will return it to me in the same condition. No refunds. They do not stand by their purchases, and the quality seems to be lacking. I have never seen a piece of Diamonique ever tarnish. No wonder JTV has terrible ratings on Google.

Have you tried a good polishing cloth in it, they work miracles at removing tarnish.

I've only ordered a small handful of items from JTV but I've returned every one of them due to poor quality.  I got the message and quit even watching that channel.

In all fairness, I don't know of any merchant that has an extended warranty unless you pay extra for it.  QVC's is 30 days.  Period.  Beyond that you'd probably be told, "sorry".

Re: Beware of JTV quality

This morning they had a gorgeous looking Bella Luce bracelet. 9 carats.  Anybody that saw the show this morning will know what I mean It was very cheap, (39.00) so I looked up reviews. My goodness....review after review on how bad it was!  They all said they a couple of times and it broke. It have been at least 10 one star reviews for it.  I've heard other complaints over the quality of the item.  They all look beautiful but just does not hold up.

There really isn't anything substantial about their gold.  10K and very thin, 1 or 2 grams (necklaces!)  The Bello Luce is still beautiful though. Lately they've been pushing lab created gemstones. They usually pair them up with the Bellas.  The natural ones are semiprecious.  I don't think I ever saw a natural sapphire on their shows. The word is cheap and you get sometimes gorgeous jewelry that really doesn't last.  Temporary flash.

JTV has a thing called Jewel Safe where you pay a little extra for each piece that you buy. It's a 2-year warranty which covers certain things but I'm not sure about tarnishing.

I keep all of my jewelry inside anti-tarnish boxes and that keeps them free of tarnish. I just never trust plating techniques on any of my stuff b/c even the best rhodium or vermeil can tarnish at some point and if it doesn't then you're lucky.

Their items are magnified 300% on the TV.   Yes, they admitted it.  I check out the size of the item in relation to the host's finger size.   The $19.99 "bargains".........are worth just that:  $19.99.

HOWEVER, you can still find some very good values.   Especially in GOLD rings.........but beware of the gold chains.    CHECK OUT THE GRAM WEIGHT AND mm  SIZE before you make any choice.    They are usually skimpy.

Their DOC, and DOK item numbers, are close-outs they have purchased.    Not their own stock.     Some of these can be a really decent mark-down.     Use your good judgment!

Bad pieces turn up everywhere. Some  here ordered Colleens opal bracelet, reviews are terrible on that one more one star than anything else. We take chances on so many things in life.

I have multiple pieces from JTV and have had good luck thankfully. There's been quality issues for me lately with HSN pieces. It seems to be hit or miss at most places these days.
