Paul Deasy often says Ethiopian Opals are far less delicate as others.

I don't own any opals but I think that stone in the tsv is beautiful. I agree that it would look even better in white gold. Thanks everyone for your knowledge about opals, very interesting Smiley Happy

The TSV is ok - but I feel like Peyton Kelley and whatever host that has been on has been
Beating this ring to death all day. Every time I turn on QVC - there it is. lol.

@KKlim   This TSV is no different than all the others.   They beat them all nearly to death with long presentations every other hour and an extra long presentation at midnight and during prime time.

I've never ordered anything from Evine but last night I went on their site to look at Ethiopian opals. Found a ring from Gem Insider (Paul Deasy) that I liked. Very affordable, silver with gold plate (assume it's plated for the price) accent surrounding the opal. White topaz on the sides.

Is his jewelry good quality, and do his Ethiopian opals look like the one in the tsv yesterday? I know Peyton said that good Ethiopian opals have the blue shade that he pointed out.

Paul Deasy was the first one on any Gem show to bring the Ethiopian Opal to us. I bought 3 he presented on Evine when it was called Shop<NBC and they are beautiful. Got them at a fantastic price because no one had even known what they were until then - they have really increased in value, Don't hesitate to buy any by Paul Deasy - they are his favorite gem and always top quality!

They say that the Ethiopian Opal has a different water content level than other opal which makes it much more durable.

@cooking lady Thank you for your input, just ordered the ring I was looking at for 79 and change. Got 15 percent off for signing up for emails. At least that offsets the ridiculous 6.99 shipping. Can't wait to see the ring in person.
