Re: Anyone remember Suspicion Marcasite?

I think the very first thing I bought from QVC was a Judith Jack Marcasite ring. It's a band ring and still very pretty. Later I bought earrings and a bracelet. I wear the ring every once in awhile but I can't remember the last time I wore the other pieces.

@CamilleP - So sorry for your loss. I think it helps to wear something that celebrates your love for your animal. I wear my Jai rainbow bridge jewelry (cuff and ring) often.

I looked at the Suspicion Marcasite pieces, and I noticed some Ripka and Dawkins influences in a few of the designs. Even the use of canary crystal reminds me of Ripka. How I miss those days. It was so much fun to watch those shows.

I love garnets. Good luck resisting them.

Thank you, it was a total shock, he hid how ill he was so very well.

I also miss the "old days" of jewelry on the Q, I used to love watching Judith Ripka and Barbara Bixby shows, just to see all the gorgeous new designs.  I still have a ton of Bixby and quite a bit of Ripka, but since I've retired I hardly ever wear it.  I should try to sell it, but I know I'll only get pennies on the dollar.  Nobody to pass it on to, though, so I'll have to divest eventually.

Not necessarily.  Last year I sold a JR watch on Ebay and got more than I originally paid for it.  Now, I'm sorry I sold it, but I never saw it listed again.

JR has pretty good prices on Ebay ... depending on condition, of course.

I never cared for marcasite. It looked too fake to me. It's just a metallic stone that is very brittle with low hardness.

I do!  I remember all those marcasite show over the years.  I never bought any, I never liked marcasite but I watched a lot of shows.

Me too! I have two band rings and one citrine gemstone band from Judith Jack. I get compliments every time. I also have a marcasite classic tennis bracelet which I love.

The best thing about Judith Jack marcasite jewelry....all prong set no glue.

I also have a few Suspicion pieces but the Judith Jack are my favorites.
