Does anyone have this stone?  I was watching HSN and they had a whole hour of it.  It is from Canada.  I really like this ring but it sold out in my size.

A ring and a pendant purchased from QVC years ago.  They are both set in 14k.  I really like both pieces.

I love fossils and this stone is a fossil. It's a piece of fossilized amonite. Ammonites are extinct  mollusks that had chambers inside their shells which resemble the chambers that modern nautilus shells have. I've been wanting an ammonite pendant for a long time. Below is an amonite fossil.

@Pecky @What about wearing the ring on a different finger. Its a cool looking ring. Middle or index fingers would look good with this ring.

• I bought an ammolite ring at the Chateau at Lake Louise in the gift shop about 1980.  It's predominately red and green.  I rarely, if ever, wear it.  It's a large oval set in gold.

If you're going to buy a stone like ammolite from homeshopping then I would buy more than one b/c you don't have the luxury of being there in person to compare stones. They can vary widely in color between different stones. 

I got an opal bracelet from a homeshopping channel once. I bought three of the same, got them home, inspected them for color and sent two back. They were very different looking from one another and I'm glad I got three of them to compare side by side.
