Ambrosia bracelet and preventive ripkus regrettus

I have the ambrosia bracelet in turquoise/ tiger eye. I wear it often and love it. I have a feeling this bracelet isn't long for this world. Sooooo...seeing as how recent offerings aren't thrilling me, i'm thinking of purchasing the amethyst version. Soooooo....those of you who own it in amethyst, Is it a must have??
