@kachina You might be interested in Alex Sanchez butterfly listed today on Bay.

Thanks for thinking of me @patbz. It's a beautiful piece isn't it? However with 15 bids already and 6 days to go, I fear the bidding will become excessive. Heck, eBay has changed so much, and not in a good way, I couldn't even find an item number.
Do you have one similar?

I do but it is coral. Paid $150, saw one last week on Bay asking $750!!!!! Alex lives in Gallup and takes commissions (and his prices are very fair.

Is this retailer a reputable jeweler @Kachina624?

Alex Sanchez is a well known NA. If you are talking about the seller on Bay, he has 100% feedback.l

@itiswhatitis I don't know about the seller but @patbz and I are big fans of Alex Sanchez. She's met him at the Santa Fe Indian Market and has commissioned work from him. In the realm of Indian jewelry, it's the silversmith, not the seller who is important. His work is instantly recognizable. I have about 6-8 pieces of his. I have a "thing" for prehistoric Indian art (petroglyphs). I live only about 6 miles from the Petroglyphs National Monument.

So, you're not concerned about the stones in this silverwork? I am familiar with this jewelry. I don't care for turquoise, coral, malachite, lapis and minerals along those lines (thus, I don't like Jay King).
Anway, I was wondering @Kachina624 since you mentioned you'd only buy from a reputable jeweler. That's it in a nutshell.

Turquoise is not a precious gemstone, and I know enough (a lot) about it to be able to judge what I'm getting. You're comparing apples and bananas. I adore good quality turquoise. Jay doesn't sell that but he has some interesting other stones and I have many of those going back close to 20 years. Like all TV jewelry vendors, he's a lot of BS but I find him likable.
