I really miss Michael O Connor when they have gem days or just an Affinity show. He was such a great guy to watch and listen to when presenting the jewelry. I don't care for the new guy at all.

I have not bought Affinity diamonds, but I like to watch the shows and think this new guy is as good as the old vendor.

The show today with Rick et al, are foolish, imo - They show chopped up diamonds and call it a 2ct 2 stone cluster. NO, it's not a 2 stone ring, it's 2 stones which have been crushed and shoved together to appear larger (cluster)......and Rick will say WELL if that's the look of a 5 ct. diamond ring it will run $20,000.........Rick, who in their right mind is falling for that line?

They are way over priced for pieces of diamonds, no matter how they've been set together. And you've again, raised the price......No real professional would give out that goofy spiel.... And 2 ppl presenting is just not needed as it lends no truth, imho...

I've never heard of this specialist anyway. Same hustle.🙄

Michael O'Connor always had the integrity to never misrepresent a piece of diamond jewelry. He did not say that I2 diamonds were eye clean because they aren't. This new vendor does it frequently and misrepresents what he is selling. If QVC partners with the GIA.....I2 diamonds ARE NOT eye clean.

Agree - the new guy is kind of an odd duck.  I bought one small Affinity ring years ago from the Q - - and the way a few stones are set it - those areas look black, like you lost a stone or two.  Even a Q host mentioned the appearance of a lost diamond in their presentation.  I guess other people questioned this and Q tried to clarify it before you ordered.  Very high prices for scraps of diamonds.  I never wear the ring - was under $100

The grade on those TSV diamonds was I which means included. They tried to pass that off as having only slight inclusions, if that were true it would be graded SI. LiES LIES LIES. They also tried to say it would look llike a solid cushion cut because you could not see the individual round stones - a cushion cut is a step cut - of course it could not look like a real cushion cut. More lies.

@151949  Several months ago, I purchased cushion cut, pave set, Affinity stud earrings. They were clear enough (for earrings, not a ring) & had lots of sparkle.....for about a month. The stones were not set closely enough to be considered true pave. I should have checked w/ my loupe before keeping them. When they became cloudy, I tried to clean them w/ my usual diamond methods. The diamonds were set almost flat in the mounting leaving no space underneath for me to brush away the extra debris not cleaned w/ my sonic or steam machines (debris never left after both methods). After explaining the faulty setting to CS, they were returned at no charge.

My experience should have told me that $89 for diamond earrings, sale price or not, would be cwap!

Yes, they twist the truth to make sales, but it’s up to us, the buyer, to have the sense to see through it. If any doubts, pass it up.
