Hello,

I have never purchased jewlery from this brand before and would like to know your opinion on it. I am hesistant to purchase online, however, there is a ring I am in love with (J438023) and would like to know whether the quality of this brand is good. I am wondering about whether stones fall out, extreme discoloration in metal over time, etc.

Thank you!

Re: Affinity Gems

Affinity Gems is not a brand, it's a collection of QVC gemstone jewelry. Under the Affinity Gems heading are items from different countries and manufacturers. Some of them have been supplying QVC's gemstone jewelry for decades before the July 29, 2021 "premiere" of Affinity Gems.

This is an online only item, so it's likely not even in QVC's warehouse. They are drop shipping this from one of their suppliers who probably aren't at all involved with QVC's on-air assortment. There's no warranty and there's no guarantee beyond 30 days.

If you have purchased QVC gemstone jewelry before you may have purchased from this vendor. Some Affinity Gems items are marked UTC China and others are from Lorenzo in China. Both have been QVC gemstone jewelry vendors for decades. Unfortunately the evil eye ring has the hallmarks photoshopped off and you won't know who the maker is and the country of origin unless you receive it.

I see this ring has enamel on it. Would say that enamel gets scratched easily , so handle carefully

Q gems never look like excellent quality to me, and always overpriced.

Bought a cushion ring once - from every angle looked like stones  - diamonds - were missing.  Appeared black holes.

Tossed in trash.

I've had pretty good luck with this line--I hope that helps. My expectations are in line with the price point, if that makes sense.

Wow, thank you so much for such a detailed explanation. I have never purchased jewlery from the Q. Can I ask what your opinon is on Effy? There is a ring from this brand that I also have my eye on. I have read reviews of these brand on other websites and it seems like really good quality?
