A Treat for Your Easter Basket

These are all Ethiopian opals and illustrate the variety of color and pattern.  They look like luscious confections, perfect for an Easter basket.

I will take some of those. They are beautiful. I love the pinks with blues & greens.

I have a really pretty opal necklace my mom bought for me in the mid 70's.

Those are STUNNING!!!

Opals are my favorite gemstone.  Fortunately, I've been able to get a pretty good collection of them. When the Ethiopian Opals first came out, I fell in love and started buying them from the get go.

I have to stop myself from purchasing them whenever I see them lately, but I wouldn't hesitate if the right piece came along lol.😃

I bought a loose Ethiopian Opal I've had for 15 years that I've still never got set into a ring.

Gorgeous!

The Ethiopian black opals are smoke-treated by burning wood or burning sugar. Depending on the source, the black color can vary.

@Enufstuff.  They surely beat boiled eggs, don't they?
