Wear it wherever it fits and you want to wear it.

If it brings you happy memories, wear it on any finger it will fit on and enjoy it. Someday when the time it right you can have it sized however you want.

However if it is a well-worn ring you should have the stone settings checked for wear before you use it.

Hi Jolexi- I really didn't mean to tease you. When we were married, we used 3 wedding bands in our ceremony, 1 for DH and 2 for me. I wore my wedding set on my left hand and my grandmother's on my right. Doing so drove my MIL up a wall. She was convinced that "anyone seeing THAT" would think I had been married twice. I totally agree with you about archaic liberalism. Wear your beautiful ring and enjoy it. I STILL wear my mom's or grandmother' wedding set on my right hand!

I have wore a ring of my mother's on a necklace and received a lot more attention because it is near the face and people are more likely to notice. So this might be an option. Although I can't see it as much as if it was on my finger, I feel it is closer to my heart.

When I was single and going to night school at around 19, I didn't want to be bothered with getting "hit on" .... so I wore my Grandmother's wedding ring on my left hand. It worked... for the entire semester!! It worked VERY VERY well.

So if you don't care about meeting new guys, wear it and enjoy it. But if you think you might miss meeting "the one" put it aside until you can afford to resize it, or wear it on a necklace.... Smile

A little more than silly on her part. As if it mattered how many times you were married before. Liz Taylor would surely have been in quite the dither if she'd ever chose to wear all of her wedding rings at once {#emotions_dlg.rolleyes}

BTW - Thanks for clarifying!

The only rings I do not wear on my ring finger/left is my original wedding set and 10th year diamond anniversary band. I had both resized for my right hand and wear often.

As for the left I wear whatever I feel like and do not worry about what it looks like since I know how FREE I am. Wear it and enjoy!!

If you want to wear it, wear it. Nothing wrong at all. However, If you are looking for a man or even open to the idea, I wouldn't wear it. You could wear it to family gatherings, etc.

One more thing, I wouldn't think it would cost that much to get it sized up. Have you actually checked it out? I'm guessing $40-$100.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I appreciate the support. I also loved the Vogue article!

I will wear it proudly on my left hand.

I'm currently out of a job (after 20 years!) so resizing is not an option right now. But, that will be on my agenda when I have a real income again.

Appreciate the input!!
