3 stone amy ring review - REGAL!

Thanks to those who encouraged me to purchase this ring. Top to bottom, in every way, it's total Ripka perfection. Let me count the ways:

1. The gemstones. Cut and polished sublimely. The center amy is vivid but not so dark that you can't see into it (amys can get "murky") and the pink amethyst rounded trillions are an exceptional complement to the main stone. These stones have large, flat surfaces as tables (the top of the stone), which can give a stone dullness, so the fabulous attention to faceting on the crown gives a depth to the sparkle to these stones that shows "interior" sparkle rather than the surface kind you get from checkerboard faceting. Quality all the way. Also, before receiving this, I thought it might look better if all 3 amys were the same hue and richness, but now that I see this in person, it's clear why Judith's the designer...and I'm not! {#emotions_dlg.biggrin}

2. He undergallery has openwork that is intricately carved and dusted very lightly with diamonique stones, which in this use truly come off as diamond accents -- and give just the right hint of sparkle from the sides of the ring.

3. Just as Lisa said in the most recent presentation, the ring's design prevents pinching of prongs from those side stones on neighboring fingers.

4. The only thing that could improve this is a more substantial shank in the back. But thankfully the ring is well balanced so this doesn't cause "twirl."

It's my V-day gift from DH and it's beyond fabulous!!!! Those of you thinking about this, get it firmly planted on your wish list!
