Bird I agree with you. Once upon a time 17 inch might have worked but not now.

Continuing my jewelry "diet," so while I'm watching Carolyn, I'm going to use the time to put all my Southwest jewelry (Carolyn and else) in one place. I haven't worn anything from my collection except earrings for too long.

The good aspect of the Southwest items is that they're always wearable, always appropriately in style - and because it's been a while since I wore any, I'll feel as if I'm wearing new.

I find that this American West collection is becoming even more wearable as time goes on. The more traditional Southwest style items (najas, jasper pieces, beads) are not my taste at all, but I love the Spanish-inspired pieces - the golden mother of pearl cross, the carved white MOP cross, and the plain sterling pieces.

I am really surprised that there is not more red coral?

I am liking seeing the more basic pieces return. Her collection had gotten too "ornate" for my taste, although they are beautiful. I just prefer the more basic designs. Always enjoy CP & Carolyn together.

Hello All and Happy Fourth! No turq for me today! The coral Naja and cluster ring are calling! So many beautiful choices. I prefer the traditional American West also - you wouldn't come to that conclusion looking into my jewelry box though, lol!

Re: 17 NEW AMERICAN WEST ITEMS

Agreed ladies - I am all over the more basic pieces - love that look - never out of style either - I'm kind of with you ""millieshops"" - have really slowed down in my buying - being way more selective - and finding new treasures right in my own ""huge"" collection - it's like re-discovering something new almost every day!! Ladies - it really pays to go through your jewelry box (in my case ""Closet"") more often - unbelievably I have even discovered ""duplicates"" I didn't know I had - selling them on Ebay!! LOL!

I haven't seen anything that is the least tempting. I just don't ""dig"" this American West Collection. It's like Southwest jewelry for beginners. The TSV is nice for someone who doesn't already have a turquoise bracelet. I'll just live with and enjoy what I already own.
