Expensive and ugly.  What a combo.

Unless you were notably wealthy and purchased these earrings, or had them as loaners for a high roller, extravagant event, no one would believe these earrings were a million, plus.

So they're definitely show-off pieces, for those in the know making a statement, likely with security nearby. Then into the safe.

I like Princess Haya of Jordan.  She'd look great in those earrings.

These earrings are ok, but I'm not in love.

I love fine jewelry, but these look tacky and heavy to me.  I value my earlobes.

I won't do pearls.  I'm all for wildlife and sea life.

They look overpriced.

I looked them up -

Made by Lotus Arts de Vivie and known as "Astrid's earrings"

containing pigeon-blood ruby and emerald encrusted pearl drops

sold at their Kuala Lumpur store - only 4 or 5 left at Starhill stores

Definitely a status symbol

I love pearls combined with diamonds but the design of these earrings seems cluttered for lack of a better term. Mixing emeralds with rubies? Not a fan.

Only celebrities or royalty can get away with wearing such expensive jewelry.  On all the rest of the "regular" folks, it would look like we're wearing costume jewelry.
