I've been doing alot of shopping on Etsy lately--mostly home decor and I came across this tile artwork that I HAD to have---a very fond childhood memory. It shoud be here this weekend. Isn't this a hoot?? This was my very fave TV dinner when I was a kid. And even more ---my last was Swanson!!! My mom would buy us TV dinners on the rare nights they went out for the evening. She cooked them up and put them on--yep--you guessed it--TV trays and served us in front of the TV!!! This is the salisbury steak dinner.😆 Not sure what my brothers had, but there is a chicken leg dinner too. It's just one tile about 6 " long, all hand made--will frame it and hang it in my kitchen. Can't wait to get it!!! Still love salisbury steak dinner!!!![]()

That's not a distant memory; that was dinner last night. I eat a ton of those things....Healthy Choice. They are a far cry from the original, however.

Definitely a favorite! ![]()
But my absolute favorite was...

... the Italian dinner. Each item in that one came out of the oven scalding hot and it was a challenge to avoid serious injury.
Oh, that tortoni! ![]()

@just bee ---WOW---I have never seen those "fancy" type of TV dinners--ever!!! Not now--do they still make those?--or ever when I was growing up. Not sure my kid palet would have approved-- or maybe those weren't available in my little po-dunk town in the early 60's!! Don't remember my mom fixing those type of foods when I was a kid--not even spaghetti? OH wait--I do remember her getting canned chow mein and those awful dried, crispy noodles--was not a fan.
