What bright, innovative ideas! I'll have to go to my local Home Depot or Lowe's, walk around, and consider the possibilities. I've been looking for a good way to display my antique church plate collection, and custom plate shelving is rather expensive. Maybe I can "think outside the box"!

GoodStuff,

I have used these before (IDK if you use the plates to eat off of or not).

I bought these at my craft store and have used them to hang lots of different items that I didn't want to drill holes in or permanently affix.

You can also hang them on your fence to grow herbs, lettuce or some other plants.

Thanks, Lola. I've seen these, but haven't tried them. Another possibility to consider.

Quite a few teachers use these in their classrooms under the marker board to store books this same way. Easy for the kids to reach and see each book.

I was going to say, to me, this makes the most sense in a school or commercial setting. At home, I'd prefer a bookshelf, as they hold more volumes and i don't necessarily want to display book covers... I suppose it's a cute concept if space isn't an issue.

I love the use of the gutter as pictured in a child's room with children's books in them. When my daughter was little, I would have done this in a New York minute next to her work bench in her bedroom.
