That is the look the designer was going for, an entrance made from things that had been collected over time.

 

Did he accomplish it?

Yep it looks like that’s what they did. It’s all collected in the entry.

i don't think so.  Very little in the way of collected objects.  I can't much beyond the busy wallpaper.

I love that turquoise pot.  This is a very nice, if formal, arrangement which I'm sure is meaningful to its owner.  Probably represents many memories.
