I have never tried it because there are too many people companining that it doesn't dissolve and leaves white marks on dark clothing that is next to impossible to remove.
Last night a caller asked the vendor why it did that and how it could be prevented. The Host, Helen, said you are supposed to rinse the clothing after it is washed and some do not..
HUH?
Then the caller was disconnected before she could say a thing. I was shocked that this happened and wasn't handled better. They completely tried to cover up the caller's comments.
Nellies....no thanks.
I have read about that call also. Hosts handled it very badly. Good enough reason not to try Nellies if the vendor can't answer basic comments about the laundry soap. But I don't use Nellies because it doesn't clean clothes as well as a liquid detergent. It doesn't get dirty clothes clean. It was a one and done purchase for me.

Don’t most washers have a wash cycle & then a rinse & spin cycle? I would think anything you used, be it detergent or Nellie’s laundry soda, would need to be rinsed. Maybe they use too much & it doesn’t rinse out completely? You only need one little scoop per load.
They shouldn’t have cut the caller off- like you, if I’d never tried it I would have been suspicious of the product. After the Miracle Clean fiasco it’ll be a long time before I trust HSN. Thankfully I already know I like Nellie’s.
Same here. Been using Nellies for several years and I love it! I love how the clothes come out smelling fresh and I have never had any white marks or streaks on anything.
Maybe it also has to do with one's washing machine or not using the right amount.
ETA: I also use Nellie's Oxygen Brightener to give my laundry an extra boost! Everything comes out clean.

I love the original Nellie's laundry soda. The new one is formulated differently with an added enzyme and an oxygen-whitener...and the cost went up $10 from the original powder. Imo, it's not a bargain when they add something I won't want to use all the time in each load. If I need whitening or stain removal then I'll just add that when it's necessary.
