multi or clear- trees w/both

I was at the Costco yesterday and they have a 7 1/2 foot Christmas tree that has many options all on the same tree- clear or multi lights/ steady or blink. They had the tree set to blink the clear to multi color option. It was $319 and had 850 lights.

Does anyone have a tree that has the clear or multi light option? What's your take on the tree that has both clear or multi you pick?
