Re: if you keep a wreath on your front door year round

When we lived up north we always had a seasonal wreath on the front door because there was a storm door to protect it. Now we live in Florida and we can't have a storm door because the front door has to open out (hurricane building standards) and if you place a wreath little critters like frogs and small toads get in them. Anyway, the "front" door is on the side of the house anyway. The garage door faces the street.

I don't always have a wreath, but I always have something. The space between out front door and our glass door isn't very deep. Right now I have a large metal star with an American Flag painted on it.

Hi Ford -

Since you love lilac candles, may I suggest the soy candles from Pure Integrity? The Lilac scent is 20% off now...every review is 5 star.

The company is local and I have been buying from them for years. The candles are the BEST you will ever find. They perfected not only the use of soy, but have a special way of using the fragrance - it is spot on perfect!

I keep a wreath on my apartment door year-round. I change it every few months.

Re: if you keep a wreath on your front door year round

I change my wreath to fit holidays or seasons.  Right now I have a little 4th decoration up.  I have to hang it inside the storm door and not on the outside the way I used to.  A couple of summers ago I had a very unpleasant experience.  I was taking one wreath down to replace with another.  I noticed some strange looking tan casings all over the wreath.  I laid it down on the sidewalk.  On further examination, I saw some very thin, bright green warms through the wreath!  YUCK!!!  Then, I broke open one of the tan casings and it was full of baby worms!!!  I was screaming and jumping up and down.  Needless to say, after spraying it down well and letting it set aside in the sun, this went out in the trash.  After that, I never again, have hung wreaths or decorations outside on the door!!!!
