i would like to share these tips i have used for years for any clogged drains and toilet bowl clogs....
i use dawn dish washing liquid and boiling hot water or tap water.
directions:
plug the drain closed and add about 1/2 cup of dawn into the sink followed by a very large pot, or a couple of pots of boiled water.
swish the dawn around to mix well with the boiled water using a large serving spoon with a very long handle.
then pull the plug to release the water using a pair of tongs because the boiling water is hot.
if it is a real bad clog, and the water does not go down the drain quickly, then a second application may be needed to remove all the gunk from the drain.
over night method is for a clogged toilet i add 1/2 cup dawn dish washing liquid and plunge with the plunger.
in the morning i add some hot tap water to the toilet and plunge again. (never add boiled water to your toilet bowl as it may crack).
then i flush the toilet a few times and the clog has disappeared.
the above methods really work because dawn dish washing liquid is a degreaser, and the enzymes it produces will eat through the clogged materials.
to keep the drains and toilets free of clogs i use these methods once monthly.
