I have finally gotten around to furnishing/decorating the breakfast area. I have a WONDERFUL round antique table (dark oak) with an intricately carved pedestal base. For chairs I added Parson Chairs (Ballard Designs). I'm waiting for roman shades to arrive from Smith and Noble (linen and rayon, cream background with a midnight blue keystone sort of print).

I'm really tickled wiht the results a I have lamented for the last three years that the room was being used as a greenhouse in the winter and the cat's playroom at all other times. Additionally, I am glad I had time to think over what I wanted as if I'd done it as soon as I moved in I no doubt would have wrought iron and glass like all my other neighbors (noththat there's anything wrong with that).

My last dilemma in this room is an area rug (over the tile floor).

I'm thinking jute, or seagrass, something woven and with texture. But I'm wondering.. round, square or rectangular?

I KNOW you have an opinion-- I'd love to hear it.
