I am fortunate enough to have 2 spare bedrooms. Husband took one for an office/music room. I took the other one for sewing, crafting and décor closet. (Too much Christmas stuff to store there.) Do you have a space like this?

We have 2 spare bedrooms - one is DH's den and the other is our guest room/ sewing room. Both have large closets and in the den we put shelves all the way from the floor up so there is a lot stored in there. In the guest room There is some storage but mostly our winter coats and boots and stuff in case we decide to go up north in the winter and our luggage.Otherwise it is ready for guests to hang clothing in there.

We have an unfinished fifth bedroom on our upper level (wired, insulated, and has heating and air -- just needs drywall and carpet to complete), and we have always used this area for storage. We also have two empty bedrooms upstairs, so we can store things in those closets. Much more convenient than basement storage, with none of the problems with moisture and mustiness.

Yes. One is a workout room for DH with machines and Infrared sauna. The other is mine, a guest room with futon, wall unit holding all my crafting supplies and two desks, one for big shot and cricut and the other for me to do my crafting on. The closet holds the overflow of my crafting supplies.

I have shelving in the basement set up with off season and extra kitchen wares and home decor (Christmas is stored elsewhere).

I like that I can just go down and pull off what I like. It is organized by season, or patterns for the dishes, and it helps to change the decor more often, and use the things I have paid for. When stored in boxes or buried in closets, I forget I have it, or I don't want to take the time to dig it out, and it doesn't get used.

I like to change my decor with seasons etc. so recently organizing like this has been so fun and such a big stress reliever as we have been decluttering a lot lately.
