couches and pillows

How many pillows do you have on your couch? Are they a pain to have when people sit there and then get all messed up? I love the look, but wonder how practical they are. Some people USE them for their backs and others just move them out of the way. I can see just constantly fixing them, BUT I think I 'need' more. Need, right???? We only have one in each corner now, and they match the chairs in the room, so the couch ties in with that furniture, since it is leather and the chairs are fabric. BUT I feel it looks dated or something. The ones in the living room are the same way.....one in each corner that you get when you buy the furniture. UGH....I confessed that one, didn't I!!! I know prices will vary, too. Just curious about what you all have......
