@tansy ---this old dog didn't go out either😁until yesteday--Saturday--was sure nice tho. DD and I went out to do some errands. Nothng out of the usual for Woodinville --squishy ground and puddles but as we live close to the slough along the burke gilman trail--you could hear the water rushing by even from my apt.--didn't go look at it--maybe will today. Brace yourself for tomorrow----another round coming!!

Re: apartment shopping---

[ Edited ]

Well-----little update about my new apartment----DD has never seen it---so we went back there Saturday, to go thru it and for some reason, the office was closed!!! Now I did call and email about coming over but never got a response---agent told us to drop by anytime---was really mad about that--no explanation on the door at all, but closed up tight and no lights on --- but we did ride the bus there and found out where it goes and how far away from our place the stop  is--and DD was elated with the fact that is within about 10 minutes of  the apt,. both to go to work and come home!! It takes anywhere from 2-3 hours for her by bus now,each day. Then we decided to walk to the shopping area we like--and that was a straight shot there too!! So the trip was not a total loss--got our bearings first hand. We do get the keys on the 23rd so she can see the place then. Now for packing----oh goodie!!!🫨

@wagirl

Oh how frustrating to have it unavailable. But at least you saw other features near by your new home.

I think you are both gong to be very happy there.

Yeah, packing is a real pain, but ever onward.

I hope that DD has enough time outside of her job and long commute to give you a bunch of help with packing.

Did more work in the garage here yesterday--to get it ready to move. Dear SIL came over and we packed up her truck with easy items to  handle and got them to the new place-- then went to local Public storage to check in and then out to lunch and back to the garage to clear out donation items-- that woman is a MACHINE !!! She just digs in and goes for it !!! She is 10 yrs younger than me--61--and still can dive right in!! Today she is coming over to start packing up stuff in my apt---She is pure gold!!! I love her!!!

@wagirl  so nice having another helper yay!  So good it will be such a better commute for your DD.  What a bonus!  Good luck!  Wishing you the best in your upcoming move.  By the time I moved last year and finally had the apt, totally empty, I was done and relieved.
