Re: apartment shopping---

[ Edited ]

@wagirl

And hopefully the new place isn't near a creek or a hill.

I am stuck at home today on the Eastside .... water over all the roads.

Edited to add:

Can you share why you chose this apartment?  Anything special?  Or is it 'just good enough?'

@juanitalinda --where are you stuck? I'm in Woodinville---and I think all is fine here--but at my house also in Woodinville, there was a salmon creek that bordered our property and it got very full but never enough to overflow. No this apt is not near any sort of body of water.

First off, this apt is very near to where my daughter works--like I said before, it would take her 15+ minutes  to walk or she can hop a bus and get there in less than 10, right now it takes her 2 buses each way,  to work then come home and waiting time in between for buses plus if the traffic is being stupid, so usually 2 1/2 hrs each day. And then we will have more room---from 930 sq ft to 1067 sq ft. It's more updated too. There's an actual kitchen, u shaped, not the tiny 7 x 8 ft  galley style I have now----there is a  separate area for laundry--ours now, is IN the kitchen!!! And most of all, NO pot smokers next door or beneath us !!! We get smoked out many times a week and sometimes per day here. It is very close to just about everything---and we can get there by walking. Theres a transit station close by too, so can hop the bus and go most everywhere. Also a new light rail station and many shopping malls  as well as medical, dental, hair, nail, restaurants, movies, parks--you name it. And it was in our budget. So better than just good enough, I'm happy to say!Woman Very Happy

@wagirl  Yay!  What a relief for you.  The commute for your daughter too.  I had a galley kitchen for many years!  Good for you!  Enjoy.

@wagirl

Sounds like you found a winner!  So happy for you.

I'm just down the road from Redmond in the Snoqualmie North Bend area. We don't live anywhere near a creek, but the runoff from the hills has closed most of the roads.

Well, at any rate, with this lousy rain you will have lots of time to pack up boxes, but make sure you get that back brace first!
