What do you think?

I think it’s ok. It works in a modern or contemporary space. I think open shelving is more difficult to keep dust free and also more prone to accidentally knocking items over & off the shelves. I still prefer traditional built-ins, bookcases, & bookshelves.

I really like how it looks, but I agree you would really have to try to keep it dust free, and that would require dusting every couple of days, I bet.

Definately not for kids or grands. Looks dangerous to me actually to every age, especially at a party. I bumped my leg on the sharp corner just looking at the picture.

I really like it a lot. Especially the paint color instead of the usual white wall. Wouldn't like having to dust all that though.

That would be a prime spot for dropping off clutter in my house, so no.

The house I grew up in had a supportative wall like that that seperated the kitchen and dining room. My mother had someone put a counter at bar height around it. Then she bought kitchen bar stools. We did not have an eat in kitchen and this was a great solution.
