Took advantage of weather and did washing windows past few days. I have to admit climbing up 6 foot ladder to clean high sills made me quite uncomfortable. I really wonder how much it costs to have it done. Do they clean sills and screens?
I have tilt in windows and usually do most from inside, but outside sills need attention and sometimes I like to wash the screens.

I haven't had mine done for a while but they sure do a good job. I never get the windows as clear as the good cleaner do. Probably 10 or so a window.

Maybe average $15 a window? We have several 2nd story so not sure how that fits in. But I'd say that's a safe bet $10 to $15 a window.
If you fall off the ladder, the medical bills will be a lot more than that huh?

I bought some of that window cleaner that you hook onto your hose and then shoot the windows and wait for a few minutes and then hose them down. ( I forget the brand but just got it at my local store) My hubby just did all the high windows this week and I must admit it did a really good job, so I'm happy!

I fell coming down the ladder (missed a rung), and broke all the ribs on my left side...

@speedy girl Glad to hear you were pleased with your results!
I bought a hose and some of that Windex window wash that you attach to the hose and rinse off.
I plan on doing my windows at the beginning of October when I take out the AC. I am in a second story apartment
and was hoping this product would do the trick. Your good review has made me optimistic. Thanks!

I am not sure how well the spray (from the ground level) will clean the sills on the 2nd story.
I can tilt in all windows to clean the glass and the inside of the window sills as well as the screens, but the vinyl around the windows on the second story (outside) do not get cleaned.

I have windows that crank out.Impossible for me to do the outside..my screens are on the inside.
2 panels of glass = 1 window..All my windows have 3-4 panels..I have 28 panels plus doors..not including the basement windows..I paid $15 for every 2 panels(outsides only) 2 yrs. ago. Oversized windows were $15 a panel. This year I tried the thing with the hose. Wasn't happy with it...Left streaks on my siding.
Might just keep the curtains closed and forget the outsides..LOL

Before cleaning the windows, have the siding hosed down first. Then a simple hosing will get rid of the water from washing the windows above it. When I power wash our siding, I start from the bottom up and then do a quick rinse down so all the siding is clean.

DH uses our small power washer for the outside of our windows. Works great as long as you do it in the shade and not the sun, zero streaks! I'm kind of a lunatic about clean windows. For the inside I use a secret potion with a sponge and squeegee.
