Re: Why do we smell chlorox?

We finally discovered the smell was coming from an old first-aid box hanging on the wall nearby.   The contents seemed perfectly ok but we threw them away.  I believe there had been a change over the years to some of the medicated dressings in the box.

@Nicecupoftea, I'm thankful for that update, I was wondering if you had found it.

Good thing you didn't use anything out of that first aid box!

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Re: Why do we smell chlorox?

I'm glad your bleach smell was limited to the first aid kit.  The last time I smelled bleach, I found a cracked plastic bottle under the sink and a large puddle of bleach.  I think the melamine coating on the shelves reacts somehow with the plastic bottles to weaken them.  I've had dish soap bottles start leaking when stored under the sink, too.
